About

OJL studio sees architecture not as a process of arriving at a correct answer, but as a creative act that continually raises questions and explores new possibilities, grounded in intuition and reality.

We believe human creativity has advanced through accidental accumulation and natural flow rather than the theories of any era — and that architecture is part of that same process. Within the unique context and conditions of each project, we search for the most natural and essential solution.

We pursue an architecture that generates questions rather than proving answers, and that explores new possibilities rather than repeating conventions.

OJL studio는 건축을 어떠한 정답을 찾아가는 과정이 아닌, 직관과 현실에 기반해 끊임없이 질문을 던지고 새로운 가능성을 탐구하는 창작 행위로 바라본다.

인간의 창작은 시대의 이론보다 우연한 축적과 자연스러운 흐름 속에서 발전해 왔으며, 건축 역시 그러한 과정의 일부라고 믿는다. 각각의 프로젝트가 가진 고유한 맥락과 조건 속에서 가장 자연스럽고 본질적인 해법을 찾아간다.

정답을 증명하는 건축보다 질문을 만들어내는 건축을, 규범을 반복하기보다 새로운 가능성을 탐색하는 건축을 지향한다.
